In my almost 4 hour trek to get from Jersey City back home in Morristown (30 miles away), I could not escape the many views of the disaster. Every major highway was closed in and out of the city, and after 2 hours of driving I ended up in the exact spot that I left from (LSP). Kudos to my friend Drew who stayed on the phone with me for almost the whole time while looking at a map and navigating me, eventually, to Route 78 west (after trashing my truck hopping a concrete median).
